Sponsoring a prize on SuperBru is a neat way of creating exposure for your brand. We're looking for prizes for each week of the Premier League season, as well as overall prizes: if you'd like to explore sponsoring something, submit your details below to get the ball rolling.

Advice on choice of prizes

From experience we know which sort of items work well as prizes and which don't - both from a sense of practicality and what creates the best impression for your brand. Please have a look through the lists below to get an idea of what we've learnt along the way.

What makes a good prize?

Something that can be shipped anywhere (ideally worldwide, but inside SA only if you prefer)
Something that can be enjoyed by most people
Something with no strings attached
Experience/event-related prizes - only if travel and accommodation is included

Examples

Gadgets: iPad, iPod, games consoles, home entertainment kit, GPS etc.
Experiences: tickets to a sports event including travel and accommodation
Goodies: clothing, sunglasses, hampers, braais, other merchandise
Cash or gift vouchers: simple and easy!

What should you avoid?

Something with strings attached (e.g. the winner must sign up to your service to redeem the prize)
Items relevant only to a particular area (e.g. a local golf club membership - what if the winner doesn't live in the same city or country?)
Items that are heavily gender-focused (what if the other sex wins?)
Something that is inappropriate for under 18s (what if a teenager wins?)
Something that not everyone will enjoy (e.g. a fancy motorbiking helmet - what if the winner is not a motorcyclist?)
An experience without travel (e.g. tickets to a Springbok test in Pretoria - but what if the winner lives in Cape Town? Or Sydney?)

What happens next?

We'll be in touch by email to confirm receipt of your offer.
We might give some feedback on your suggested prize, or answer any questions you have.
Once we're all on the same page we'll add your prize to the list of potential prizes for the season. If we have more prizes offered than slots available, we'll see if we can fit you into one of our other tournaments.
We hope to be able to confirm everything and formally announce the prizes by July 16th, 2011.
